It's About Family is a community development corporation in the CSRA designed to strategically assist families in embodying a complete life in their community through education and empowerment programs.

We believe every family should have the resources needed to live a wholistic life.

Our Story

Serving the community for more than fourteen years

It's About Family Inc. started serving the CSRA community in 2009 in the city of Grovetown, Georgia. Our journey started with free family-based events like Family Day in the Park, serving more than 2000 families, both military and civilians from the area. We expanded our strategy by offering teen mentorship programs and marriage seminars. We added more programs as the demands of the family grew into offering:

Free marital counseling serving more than 800 Couples
The Father's Hands food pantry has served more than 128,000 people
Mission work serving Africa and Panama
Annual Scholarship Ball offering scholarships to college students
Recidivism programs assisting former prisoners in assimilating into the community
Worked with Youth Challenge and the Columbia County, GA alternative schools as mentors

Our plans for the future are only limited to the needs of the community. We plan to develop education and job training programs in the future

The Father's Hands Food Pantry

Our food pantry serves the CSRA with partnerships of local businesses and the Golden Harvest food bank three times per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12 PM until 2:00 PM.

We offer scholarships to all college students in the CSRA to assist with their educational needs. This scholarship is for both traditional and non-traditional students.

Community Engagement

It's About Family Inc, engages the community through a plethora of community initiatives. Annually we offer back to school drives for children, sponsor-a-teacher events, appreciation breakfast for teachers, and emergency responders event and many more community driven events.
